Tinsley's first trip to Church

Grandmom and Granddad took Tinsley to church this morning.  Mom said that everyone was so excited to meet Tinsley.  Here are a few pictures of Grandmom and Tinsley before they left.

Dressed up and ready to go

Tinsley's First Trip to Lubbock

Tinsley went to Lubbock this past weekend to visit aunt Whitney.  The first stop we got to make when we made it to town was at the doctor's office.  Tinsley broke out in a rash on her face, neck and chest.  Luckily, one of the girls on Whitney's basketball team's mom works at a doctors office.  She was able to get us in with a pediatrician there in Lubbock.  We loved him.  He said that he thinks she has eczema and will likely have sensitive skin(surprise, surprise).  We are treating it with aveeno lotion and soap for right now and it seems to be getting better.  Unfortunately, I did not get any pictures of Whitney and Tinsley together.  We had a great time!  Tinsley even went on her first shopping trip to the mall.  We are trying to train her early!

Dressed to go to dinner
She was not wild about the bow and her granddad said it was too big for her(for right now), so we took her picture with it on and then had mercy on her and took it off.  But, I think it will be perfect when she gets a little bit bigger  :-)

Off to the mall!!!

State of the Union

Mom and dad were at the house last night during the state of the union.  Tinsley was wide awake, I guess she was interested to hear what President Obama had to say about the state of our union. She looks a little unsure- as are the rest of us ;-)

Trip to Houston

Tinsley and I spent the past week in Houston.  Toby had to go look at some claims, so we figured we would tag along and see how Tinsley does staying in the fifth wheel.  It went great with the exception of walking Eagan during the day when Toby was gone.  Tinsley is NOT a fan of the baby bjorn.  She did not enjoy being bundled up so that I could take Eagan out for a walk.  Here are a few pics of our week.

Bundled up for our walk.  Things went downhill quickly from here.  Poor Eagan, it was his shortest walk ever!!!
Tinsley loves to stretch out on her changing pad.  She is getting so long :-)

First trip to Pappadeaux's

Mom had to come pick us up a few days before Toby was done with his claims.  Eagan had to go to the vet.  He has a corneal ulcer that we are going to have to doctor for 10 days twice a day and then go back for a checkup to see if it has healed.  Poor Eagan, he was pretty uncomfortable.  He has had an ulcer in his other eye previously and it healed up quickly.  Hopefully this one will do the same.  And, just for good measure, here is a pic of Tinsley the day after we got back home.

One Month Old

Wow!  How can Tinsley already be a month old?  Time is flying!  We are enjoying Tinsley so much.  We can’t believe how much she has grown and changed already.

A few things about Tinsley at 1 month:

-         Eating about 4 oz every 3-4 hours.  She has been a bit colicky.  Seems to do better when I pump and we give her a bottle than she does nursing.

-         Sleeping about 4 hours at night.  She likes to stay up for about 2 hours or so and then will go back to sleep for another couple of hours.

-         Tinsley loves her swing and her bouncer.

-         Likes to lay in her crib and watch her mobile.

-         Turns her head when someone new comes into the room.  She seems to really be recognizing familiar voices, especially her daddy’s.

-    Does not seem to be phased at all by Eagan's barking.  She jumps at almost every other sound, but does not seem to notice when Eagan barks.  We are thankful for this because Eagan is such a good little guard dog (wink, wink) and he barks ALOT!!!

-         We just switched to size 1 diapers this week.

-         Wearing size 3 month sleepers for the past week and a half.  Tinsley is so long that the newborn sleepers weren’t cutting it anymore.

For documentation purposes, I want to take Tinsley's picture in our chair at home each month for the first year.  We were in Houston on her actual one month birthday, so I took the picture of her in the chair in the fifth wheel.

One month old today- hanging out in the big chair all by myself waiting on Daddy to get home from looking at claims so we can rock :-)

We returned home a few days later, so I took her picture in the chair in her room.

First Bath

Tinsley loved her bath!  I am thrilled.  Not only because it is of course easier to bathe an infant that is not screaming, but I hope that this is a sign that she will love the water.  Summer will be here before we know it, I have big hopes that Tinsley will be a little fish!!!!

Somebody loves to look at herself in the mirror :-)

All clean and cozy

Trip to the grocery store

Today I attempted to go to Super S in Nixon.  I say "attempted" because it took two tries.  This was mine and Tinsley's first trip out without the assistance of GrandMom and it took two tries.  Tinsley had eaten at around 9:30 and was in a great mood, so around 11 I decided to load her up in her car seat and go to Super S to get a few things that we needed.  She was just fine as I put her in the car.  When we pulled out of the garage, I noticed our gates were closed due to Toby moving cattle earlier this morning.  I got out to open the gates and when I got back in, she was crying.  I figured she would stop once we got the car moving. Boy was I wrong.  By the time I got to the end of the road, she was screaming!!!  We turned around went back home and tried again a few hours later after eating again and when she was a little bit sleepier.  She fell asleep on the 2nd try by the time we made it to the end of our county road.  Here is a pic I took of her before our 2nd attempt at the trip to town.  I thought it was funny that she had was holding up 2 fingers.  I am absolutely positive that this was in honor of our "second attempt" ;)

Mady is 6!

Today Mady is 6 years old.  This is hard for me to believe, as it seems like just yesterday we were waiting for her arrival.  I did not get to see Mady today as they are out of town celebrating her birthday.  We love you so much sweet Mady!  Happy Birthday!!!

This picture is from Christmas- I love this smile!
