Summer Fun=Pool Time!

We decided to go swimming this afternoon.  Kade, Blaine, Brett, Mady and Calley joined us.  We didn't plan ahead well enough and Drew already had other plans.  :-(

Ready to swim- Should have taken her picture before I greased her up with sunscreen.  Oh well, our little melon is still adorable!

Kade came prepared

And he showed us a few tricks
Aunt Whitney and Tinsley

There he goes!

Brett's turn

Kade showed us a few more of his tricks on the diving board :-)

Love Mady's sweet smile!!!!

Getting ready for church

Tinsley spent the night with Grandmom and Granddad last night.  We have started making it a weekly habit.  With Toby out of town working, by the end of the week, I am pretty tired after getting up with Tinsley every night.  So, Tinsley spends one night a week(normally Saturday), with Grandmom and Granddad.  I miss having her at home, but I have to admit, getting a good night's sleep does wonders for me.  Eagan and I were really missing Tinsley this morning, so I took a break from working and we went and visited with her before they went to church.

Did you miss me as much as I missed you last night Eagan?

Where did Grandmom go?  You can guarantee that neither of these two let her get too far out of their sight!

Doesn't Tinsley look tired?

Mom, Dad, Whitney, Tinsley and I attended Wesley and Brandi Drzymala's wedding reception tonight.  It was absolutely beautiful and we are so excited for them.  We got to see quite a few friends that we don't see nearly often enough and catch up.  I forgot to take a picture of Tinsley dressed for the reception. :-(  We brought her pajamas with us knowing that we would be out past bedtime and that Tinsley would be tired.  As you can see, the party agreed with her.  This was taken in the back of my mom's car where we changed her into her pajamas.  She was having a blast trying to get into everything and was not the least bit interested in getting ready for bed.  The party animal did give it up and go to sleep on the way home. :-)

Birthday Party Fun!

Tinsley attended her friend Landree's first birthday party today.  We all had so much fun!

Landree liked her present from Tinsley

As it turns out, so did Tinsley!  She was happy to help Landree test all of her new toys. :-)

Sharing is hard sometimes :-(

The Disney Princess car was a big hit.  There may or may not be one already purchased by Grandmom for Tinsley's birthday. ;-)

Tinsley was still for a few brief moments to pose for a picture with Grandmom

and Aunt Sherri

and mommy

Birthday parties are so much fun, but they just wear a girl out!  This was about five minutes after we got in the car to go home.

Thanks Driffill's for including us in your special day.  Happy Birthday Landree!

Going to visit Aunt Whitney

Mom, Tinsley and I met Whitney this afternoon in San Antonio for a little bit of shopping and dinner.  We are so glad that she lives close enough now that we can go see her on a whim anytime we want!

High Maintenance

Larianne got Tinsley this adorable outfit that says "High Maintenance" on the front.  I would say that it definitely fits!  Tinsley knows what she wants when she wants it!!!  Things such as cords that she is not allowed to play with are especially enticing.

Playing with Eagan

Tinsley LOVES Eagan so much and always wants to play with him.

Eagan loves for someone to play with him and "fight" him for his toys.  Tinsley was happy to oblige Eagan this morning with a fun game of tug-of-war.

Tinsley Crawling

8 months

Tinsley, you are 8 months old!  We cannot believe how quickly the time is passing.  You bring so much happiness into all of our lives and we love you more everyday!  Watching you grow and discover new things is more fun than we could have ever imagined.

-         You are wearing 6-9 month clothing in dresses and some brands.  You are wearing 12 month pajamas and onesies.  You are so long!
-         You go to sleep between 8 and 9 p.m.  On occasion, you will sleep for a 9-10 hour stretch.  Most nights though, you wake up around 4 and have a bottle and go back to sleep for a few hours.  You still wake up occasionally around 1 for a bottle as well.  I think you are working on another tooth and that is causing a little bit of disruption in your sleep.
-         You are still the “cat-nap” queen!  Somedays you take several 30 minute naps a day.  You will also occasionally take a good nap for around 2 hours.  You normally do this at Grandmom and Granddad’s.  You like to nap in your swing while Granddad naps on the couch. J
-         You still have one lone “pearly white”.  As I said before, I think we will have another tooth in no time!
-         You are really starting to master crawling!
-         You are starting to push up on your feet with your hands on the ground.
-         You roll around and push up in your bed at night.  Grandmom and Granddad helped me lower your mattress on your bed last night because we are worried that we may have a little Houdini on our hands that will be attempting to escape her bed in no time!
-         You still are not that interested in eating foods.  The ONLY food you will eat is apples, bananas and mixed cereal.  If we attempt anything else, it quickly gets regurgitated right back at us.  Lovely!
-         You have got such a personality!  You laugh out loud constantly.  You shake your head “no” at anything you do not like or do not want to do.  When we are dressing you, you shake your head “no”.  The other day, you rolled over close to your changing table, sat up and bumped your head and immediately started shaking your head “no”.  You are a girl who knows what she wants!
-         You have started waving at people.  I think you wave to say “hello”, but you also seem to wave when you want attention.
-         Eagan and Grandmom can make you smile more quickly than anyone or anything else!

As you can see below, Tinsley was not too interested in taking her 8 month chair pictures.  She is a girl on the move!

You have no fear!!!

"Organizing" your bow basket ;-)

You no longer "walk" in your walker.  Calling it a "runner" would be a better description!

Tinsley's first beach trip

This past week, Tinsley took her first trip to the beach.  We had a girls trip with Grandmom, Whitney and Sherri.  Kourtnee lives in Portland so we got to spend our days with her. :-)  Desi did not get to go with us due to work. :-(  We all had a great time and Tinsley LOVED the beach.  Below is a recap of our trip in pictures(lots of pictures).

Tinsley went and hung out at Grandmom and Granddad's on Tuesday morning while I finished packing up.  She was so excited when Grandmom arrived to pick her up!

My dad had the fun task of helping us load up the car :-)

For some reason, he had no desire to go with us to the coast to unload all of our stuff ;-)

Excited to be headed to the beach
About 5 minutes later....
It ONLY took 4 carts to get all of our stuff in.

We stayed at Port Royal.  It was so nice.  The pool was awesome and the beach was just a short walk away.

We went to Trout Street for dinner the first night with Clay and Kourtnee.  Tinsley loved being out on the deck looking at all the fancy boats.

Life is full of so many important decisions!!!!

Headed to the beach with Kourtnee

Whitney

Playing in the sand

I was not sure how Tinsley would like the beach.  She loves being in the pool, but I didn't know how she would feel about the waves, sand and salt water.  She loved it!  She is already becoming so independent!  We would try to hold onto her and she would push us away.

She loved splashing and didn't seem to mind the saltwater in her face.

Attempting to get out of my reach.

You cannot see it too well in the pictures, but there was mud all over Tinsley's hat from her picking up the wet sand and throwing it.

Toes in the sand.

Tinsley and Grandmom

After all of that fun at the beach, Tinsley decided to take a nap by the pool.  Mom and Sherri laid out towels for her to rest on.

After her powernap and a change of swimsuits, Tinsley was ready to hit the pool!

Relaxing in her float

Tinsley puts her face in the water and comes up laughing!

The next day, we went back to the beach!

Mom, me, Tinsley and Whitney

Practicing her crawling skills on the beach :-)

Tinsley took her nap by the pool again.

Waking up happy to see Grandmom

After lunch and a quick wardrobe change, we went back to the pool.

Swimming with Grandmom

Giving Grandmom a kiss :-)

Tinsley loved Kourtnee's hat.  She would pat her head as if she wanted to wear the hat and would get SO excited when we put it on her.

Dressed for dinner.  We went to Water Street Oyster Bar- YUM!

Mom and Sherri built this sandcastle.  Whitney, Kourtnee and I were amazed by this as they were only gone for about 30 minutes and had no buckets or sandcastle building materials.  We have some talented moms!!!!

Videos of Tinsley at the beach below. My voice is sooo annoying in these, but I was trying to get her to look at me.  She had no desire to look up at us as she was VERY BUSY playing!

We had so much fun at the beach and can't wait to go back again next year!
