Lately....

Tinsley has been so busy! On Sunday, Tinsley and grandmom attended Casey Hilton's wedding shower.  Tinsley got to see her buddy Presley.  Can you tell that these two are each used to being the "only" baby around?

Rocky and Konan spent a few days at mom and dad's house this past week while the Cooper gang was on vacation.  Tinsley was thrilled to have the dogs around!

Rocky and Tinsley- Konan was not interested in a photo opportunity. ;-)

And of course, we have done a little bit of swimming!!!
A swimsuit with a pink tutu is of course a MUST HAVE!!!

Helping grandmom blow up her float.

Her float plays music. How fun is that!!!!

"Mom, this floating is very serious business"

Tinsley loves to splash around in the water.  She is even trying to put her face in the water already!!!

Mom and Tinsley send me pictures during the day and here are a few I have received over the past few days.  Tinsley is one happy little girl!!!

Of course, we have done a little bit of swinging!

Hanging out in the bouncer waiting to eat.  At this point, Tinsley seems to eat better in her bouncer than anywhere else.  We cover it with a towel, because boy does it get MESSY!!!!

Speaking of messy.....

Next stop...

All of this fun will wear a girl out!

Redbird

Trixy and her puppies have officially lost their back porch access.  They were making a HUGE mess, which I have to admit I was not thrilled about, but was willing to put up with.  I was however super TICKED off at 3:30 a.m. the other morning when Trixy decided to bark like a maniac at absolutely nothing right outside my bedroom door and wake Tinsley up.  From time to time when I was outside and the feeder was on the porch, I would notice birds hanging out at the feeder eating Trixy's food.  Apparently this little guy is missing Trixy(or at least her food).

Annie

Mom and dad have an orphan calf that dad is bottle feeding.  Mom named it Annie- fitting for a sweet little orphan.  Annie is Tinsley's first calf.  This brings back such sweet memories for me.  Dad used to help me bottle raise calves.  My favorites were Midnight, Snowball and Oreo.  Annie is 3 days old and Tinsley of course loved being outside "helping" Granddad feed her.  Mom, Tinsley and I spent the day in San Antonio today and when we got home, I was going to change Tinsley's clothes.  She had a better idea and decided it would be so much more comfortable to just wear her diaper.

On Granddad's shoulders

Tinsley loves Granddad and Grandmom so much!

Sweet feet!

Evening ritual

Tinsley loves to spend her evenings outside.  Tonight we sat out on the glider until she fell asleep.  She normally likes to lay on the glider.  Tonight at one point I was trying to hold her and glide and she was a little wiggle worm until I sat her beside me.  She sat beside me and we glided for a few minutes and she was just as happy as could be.  She is growing up so fast!

Laying on the glider

Sitting beside me gliding like a big girl.

Eagan enjoying this summer evening that surprisingly was not super hot.

6 months- Where has the time gone!

Tinsley is 6 months old!  She is growing so fast and time is just flying by.  She has got such a personality and is so happy!  We can’t believe we are halfway to your first birthday Tinsley!!!!

-         We went to the doctor and got shots today.  Tinsley did great as usual.  She cried when they gave her the shots but stopped almost immediately after I picked her up.  Tinsley weighs 18 lbs. 6 oz. (90th percentile) is 27.5 inches long (96th percentile) and her head circumference is 17.5 inches (93rd percentile)

-         Tinsley is wearing size 6-12 month clothes in regular clothing.  In sleepers, we are officially in 12 months!  She is so long!  She can wear 9 month onesies, but the sleepers in 9 months are too short.  She can’t straighten her legs all the way. J

-         Wearing size 3 diapers.

-         Taking a 5-7 oz bottle of breastmilk 5 times a day.

-         We are still working on getting Tinsley to eat.  She doesn’t seem too interested in it(though as you can see from the stats above and pics below she is not suffering).  Over the past few days she has done better.  She is less than thrilled about veggies for sure, but does okay with fruits mixed with cereal or oatmeal.

-         Tinsley is still waking up on occasion during the night.  Sometimes she will wake up and just want to hold your hand for a minute and then go back to sleep(which I LOVE) and sometimes she actually wakes up and wants to eat.  Of course, we get lucky quite often and she sleeps all night for about 8 hours as well.  She is doing great!

-         Tinsley normally takes a pretty good mid-morning nap and a short afternoon “cat-nap”.

-         Still jabbering constantly and laughs out loud quite often during our “conversations”.  She LOVES my mom and thinks she is the funniest person ever.  Tinsley and grandmom are still getting quite a bit of one on one time together since I have been so busy with work.  Mom comes and picks her up in the mornings and then brings her home at night after I finish working.  We couldn’t be more blessed!

-         She can sit unassisted for a few seconds.

-         We are getting better at tummy time, though this is still certainly not her favorite thing to do.

-         Tinsley likes to play in her exersaucer.

-         Tinsley is happy to entertain herself as long as she can see that someone is with her.  She fusses if you walk out of the room and is immediately happy again once you return.  My weekly e-mail update that I get talks about this separation anxiety being a normal issue at this age and that we need to “practice” leaving the room and coming right back so she will not become anxious at being left alone.  We are definitely going to have to work on that.

-         Tinsley loves to play with her feet.  We have to make sure and keep them clean because she can and does put them in her mouth. J

-         Tinsley has been swimming a few times and loved it!

-         She still loves being outside.  Tinsley and my mom spend quite a bit of time out in the yard watering plants, cleaning the pool and watching the cats.  When Tinsley is fussy, we take her outside and she immediately calms down.

-         Her favorite thing in the world still seems to be Eagan.  I have a feeling Eagan will be quite busy once she gets mobile.

-         Our favorite thing that she does is grab both of your cheeks, pull you to her, and give you a kiss (suck on your cheek).  It is the absolute best!!!!

Hanging out on the glider.  Tinsley loves to swing whether it be in her swing in the house, on the back porch, or the glider.

Shopping before going to the doctor.  Tinsley decided her hairbow would make a better bowtie!

Waiting to see the doctor

Giving me kisses.  LOVE this!!!

Checking her weight and height

Tearing up the paper on the table at the doctor's office.
Love from grandmom

Checkup with Dr. Peck
Wardrobe change due to a dirty shirt :-)

Rotavirus vaccination

Shots :-(

Shopping at Wal-Mart after the doctor.  This was her first time to ride in the shopping cart with the shopping cart cover that mom got for her.

I went and got the few things I needed and mom and Tinsley did their shopping.  This is how I found Tinsley when I met back up with them.  Apparently, she didn't like sitting the correct way in the cart, so she and grandmom decided this would be so much more comfortable!!!!

Tinsley, you had a very busy 1/2 birthday.  We love you so much!!!!
