Father's Day Weekend

Daddy came home this weekend for Father’s Day!  We had a great weekend.

First stop after we picked dad up at the airport was Pappadeaux's!!!

Yummy mashed potatoes

Tinsley attended her first Watermelon Jubilee as well this weekend!

We were thrilled that Aunt Whitney was home for the weekend.  We love her having a more flexible schedule now that she is done with college basketball.
Ready for church

Her shoes looked so cute.  But I swear she looked at us like we were crazy when we put them on her- not even a little bit of a challenge to get them off!!!

My favorite picture of the weekend-
this pretty much sums up Tinsley's personality

Smiling at Eagan

Tinsley tried out her shopping cart/high chair cover for the first time at lunch on Father's Day.  She did great!  Of course she was busy looking around the restaurant and had no time to smile for a picture.

Tinsley is a lucky little girl to have Toby for a daddy.  He loves her so much and takes such good care of both of us.  My dad and Toby's dad are amazing and are always going above and beyond.  We would not be able to make it without the amazing love and support we receive from our families.

Weekend Fun

Tinsley had a very busy weekend this past weekend.  On Saturday, she went with mom and I to get a pedicure and a manicure.  This was Tinsley's first mani/pedi experience and she did great.  The ladies in the shop loved her.  The girl that normally does my nails is named Emily and Tinsley went right to her.  One of the other ladies came and got her at one point and walked around with her so that the other ladies in the shop could see her.  Tinsley is a little social butterfly and seemed to love the attention.  She is still jabbering away and we think she may have picked up some of the Vietnamese that the ladies were speaking. ;-) I have a feeling that we may be raising a little talker.  Surprise, surprise!

Kourtnee's birthday was Saturday and she and Clay were in town this weekend.  We were thrilled to get to see them!  Tinsley wore her adorable Texas A&M outfit that they got her for Christmas.

Little Miss Flexible

Studying Fozzie

Sunday marked the beginning of Pentecost so everyone was supposed to wear red to church.  Mom and Tinsley looked so pretty in their red(my favorite color).  I got pictures of Tinsley, but did not get any of she and mom together.

And of course, we have to love on Eagan a little bit.

This coming weekend, daddy is coming home for a few days.  We can't wait to see him!  We miss him so much when he is gone working.

Pictures

We took Tinsley to Heirloom Portraits yesterday to have her picture taken.  They turned out adorable and I don't know how we are going to choose which ones to order!  You can view them on Heirloom Portraits website. To view the pictures, go to http://www.heirloomportraitsinc.com/ Click on enter cuddlebugs. Then click on enter cuddlebugs again. Then click on clients. Password is tinsley in all lowercase.

Princess

Our friends Jason and Stacie's shih-tzu Princess passed away on Tuesday.  My heart aches for Jason and Stacie as I know how much they loved her and that they will miss her terribly.  Princess was the sweetest, most loving dog I have ever been around and we will all miss her.

Little Fish

Tinsley went swimming for the first time today.  She loved it!  We figured that she would since she loves her bath so much.  Sometimes she cries when we take her out of the bathtub and I am never sure if this is because she doesn't want to get out or if she is maybe cold. I am pretty sure it is because she doesn't want to get out.  She was so happy and content today in the water!

Tinsley loved to float around. I hope her love for the water continues all of her life!  Next summer she will be the perfect age to learn to swim.  I'm in no hurry for her to grow up, but I can't wait to teach her!!!

Not thrilled that Eagan would not come see her.  Eagan HATES the water, so there wasn't a chance he was gonna risk getting close enough to accidentally get wet.

Sweet Potatoes

So far, sweet potatoes seem to be our favorite vegetable.  Tinsley was so happy tonight after eating!

Mom's Birthday

We celebrated mom's birthday this past weekend.  Whitney surprised mom and came home on Friday.  We went to Seguin on Saturday and ate at Dragon Place for lunch- yum!  Sunday morning we all had cake and gave mom her presents before Whitney had to go back to DFW.  It was a great weekend!  I am so thankful for my mom.  She has always supported me and loved me unconditionally.  Seeing her with Tinsley and knowing how much Tinsley loves spending time with her makes me so happy.  Thanks so much mom!

Tinsley is quite the little artist.  We let her "sign" her own cards, which is normally quite interesting and a little bit messy!

Tinsley woke up in a very serious mood on Sunday morning- she must have known that aunt Whitney was about to head back to DFW.

Ready to head to church with Grandmom and Granddad

Quality time with Granddad

My mom had an appointment this morning, so Tinsley spent some quality time with my dad while I was working.  Of course we had to dress in proper attire for the occasion!

As you can see, Tinsley was pretty excited about her quality time with Granddad

Yesterday

Yesterday was a busy day.  Mom picked Tinsley up bright and early and took her to Jim and Sherri's.  Tinsley stayed with Jim and Sherri while mom took Gramps to the doctor.  Sherri said that Tinsley had a big time swinging outside on their glider.  Sherri said it was hot, but of course little miss did not want to go inside.  After lunch, mom and I took Tinsley to the doctor.  We had become increasingly concerned that Tinsley might have an ear infection due to the fact that she had been grabbing at her ears and waking up during the night.  The waking up thing was not fun, but what really had me concerned was the fact that Tinsley would wake up crying and be super upset.  This was just not like her.  Tinsley normally wakes up happy as can be.  I get up before her most mornings and try to get a few things done around the house.  One of my favorite parts of the day is listening to her wake up on the monitor.  She will coo and "talk" while she stretches.  She sounds so sweet.  When I go in to get her, she just smiles so big!  I LOVE IT!!!   This was not how our past few nights had been though.  We would get Tinsley down around her normal bedtime between 8-9 p.m. and sometimes as early as 10:30 she would be awake crying.  The night before last she woke up at 1 a.m. crying hysterically.  Of course around 2 a.m. she was calmed down and decided it was play time and did not go back to sleep until after 3.  So, we went to see the doctor.  They checked her ears and she does not have an ear infection.  She did have quite a bit of wax in her ears.  The PA had to clean out her ears to even be able to see her eardrum.  She said the wax could have been bothersome to her and of course there is nothing we can do to prevent it.  She also gave us something to help Tinsley to go the bathroom a little more regularly.  We are unsure if her ears were bothering her, if it is a symptom of teething, or if her stomach bothering her is waking her up.  Tinsley went to sleep last night around 9 p.m and did not wake up this morning until 7 a.m.  She was happy and was back to her usual cooing and talking.   Whatever they did yesterday worked!  It is so nice to have our happy little morning girl back!

Hanging out waiting to see the doctor.

Sherri bought this adorable outfit for Tinsley.

Tinsley weighed 17 lbs and is now 27 1/2 inches long!  She is growing up so fast!

We spent quite a bit of the evening in the yard.  Tinsley loves to help granddad water the trees!

Eagan is of course always a great little helper as well!

We took Tinsley's clothes off to feed her and she was so comfortable that we just left her that way until it was time for pajamas.  Oh, the joys of being a little country girl!!!

She is so funny in her stroller.  She loves to stick her feet straight out and look at her toes.

Loving on Eagan before bed.
