We went and saw a different pediatric gastroenteroligist today. The previous doctor we saw was in Austin which is pretty inconvenient for us to get to. The doctor in San Antonio we saw today did not have any immediate openings and Tinsley's pediatrician wanted her to see a pediatric gastro doctor sooner rather than later. I am actually thankful that we ended up seeing them both as we were able to get 2 opinions. This doctor said pretty much the same thing the prior doctor said- continue on the prevacid, continue offering her different foods, and keep supplementing with pediasure. The pediasure supplementing has made life much easier for me as I have been having a lot of trouble keeping up with feeding Tinsley strictly breastmilk as she does not really want to eat much of anything very often(with the exception of Grandmom's spaghetti). The doctor also mentioned that we could take her to see a speech/occupational therapist to work on her texture aversion. At this point, I don't think we are going to do that. Tinsley seems to actually do worse eating when we "push the issue". We are going to give her some time. She has been on the prevacid for a while now and we are hoping that will really help her to realize that she doesn't need to associate food and eating with vomiting and pain.
I wish I was this happy getting weighed!
I have grown sooo much!!!!
Waiting to see the doctor.
I love that this pic shows her little pearly whites.
Tinsley "helped" the doctor out by rearranging the
exam room while we waited to see him. :-)
