Busy Week

Tinsley spent the first few days this week during the day with Granddad while Mommy and Daddy worked.  Grandmom and Aunt Sherri took a girls trip to New York.  They had a blast and came back with lots of goodies for Tinsley. :-)

Sherri and my mom outside of GMA.  They did not stay to wave to all of us on tv.  They were early birds and were out and about every day BEFORE the morning shows even started!!!  I don't think they wasted a moment of their time in the Big Apple. :-)

Tinsley and I went to see Gramps and Gran on Wednesday afternoon.  If you love the doll's haircut, contact Tinsley's Aunt Whitney.  Apparently, Whitney gave this doll her "special do" when she was a little girl.  Gramps and Gran enjoyed telling Tinsley about Aunt Whitney's hairstyling days. ;-)

On Thursday, Toby and I took Tinsley for her 9 month checkup.  She got a great report.  Tinsley is 21 lbs. 10 oz.(84th percentile), 30" long(96th percentile), her head circumference is 18"(86th percentile).  We discussed Tinsley's congestion.  Dr. Peck was concerned because Tinsley's throat was pretty red.  She did a strep test which came back negative.  Dr. Peck believes that the drainage is allergy related, or possibly even teething related.  She agrees that Tinsley's top two teeth appear to be trying to come in as her gums are really swollen.  Tinsley got the 2nd part of her flu shot and decided to show off for daddy.  She just laid there and let them give her the shot and did not even whimper.  SO DIFFERENT than our normal shot experience.  Daddy even got his flu shot!  He didn't cry either, but we are sure that he was also just showing off. ;-)  We go back to the doctor after the first of the year for Tinsley's one year checkup and more shots. :-(  I can't believe we are already talking about a one year checkup!!!!
Playing while we wait to see Dr. Peck

Tinsley also got her thumb pricked to check her iron levels.
She was not a fan of the band aid they put on her thumb after pricking it.

The super sweet nurse gave Tinsley a duck to take home to distract her from the band-aid.

Tinsley and I waiting in the car for daddy while he gets his haircut.
We decided to send a pic to Grandmom as proof that we were A-okay after our appointment.

Next, we did a little bit of shopping for Drew's birthday. (I forgot the shopping cart cover.  Note to grandmom- we wiped the cart down super good with anti-bacterial wet ones).

Next stop was Clear Springs for some yummy seafood.
Tinsley ate a french fry and one of her cookies.
She is doing so much better eating!

Worn out after our busy day at the doctor and running errands.

After her nap, we went out on the front porch to play with Tinsley's new pumpkins.  These are supposed to be decoration for Fall, but have quickly turned into some of the best entertaiment!

Off she goes!

Grandmom and Sherri returned home late Thursday night/early Friday morning.  Their plane was delayed due to a fire in the cargo area.  They had to evacuate the plane!  Mom said it was an adventure.  Tinsley was thrilled to see Grandmom bright and early Friday morning.

Eagan was excited to get his New York goody too.  He got his haircut yesterday. (Probably the last summer cut for the year)

I can't resist taking pictures of these sweet feet.  These are my favorite shoes that Tinsley has right now.  They are Uggs and they are super soft on the inside so she doesn't have to wear socks with them.  Not having to put socks on is just one less battle these days.  Tinsley DOES NOT like getting dressed. :-)

Friday evening, Tinsley and dad spent a little time on the glider while I made dinner.  This little girl LOVES hats and caps!  Daddy's hat is a little bit big, but I think she looks super cute.

We hope you had a great week!
